10 oz fingering yarn any color
1 pair size 8 needles

Gauge: 6.5 sts to 1"

Cast on 128 stitches.
Row 1: * k2,p2*
Row 2: Row 1: * k2,p2*
Row 3: Row 1: * k2,p2*
Row 4: * insert needle between 6 & 7 st, yo ,draw up a long loop, k the 1st of group of 6 sts, p2 tog,p1,k2,p2*
Row 5: Row 1: * k2,p2*
Row 6: Row 1: * k2,p2*
Row 7: Row 1: * k2,p2*
Row 8: k2,p2* insert needle between 6 & 7 st, yo ,draw up a long loop, k the 1st of group of 6 sts, p2 tog,p1,k2,p2* end with k2,p2.

Repeat these 8 rows till piece measures about 60 inches.
Bind off.
Finishing option:
Sc 1 row across the long edges, being sure to keep the work flat. Usig 2 strands of yarn 12" long, tie fringe into every other stitch at each end. Knit the fringe 1/2" in from the end of the store then knot again 1/2" from first knot.
