Supplies:
1 Skein Peaches & Creme™ knitting worsted
1 pair size 7 (US) single point needles
Cast on: 44 stitches
Moss Stitch: *K1, P1*, then purl the knit stitches and knit the purl
stitches.You are making a broken rib-type stitch
.
Moss Stitch for 1 inch for border.
Please note: First and last 4 stitches keep the Moss Stitch Border
Begin pattern:
Row 1, 3, and 5: * K6, (p2 and then slip both sts onto left needle, take
yarn to back of work, return both stitches to the right needle) 3 times*
Row 2, 4, and 6: Purl
Row 7, 9, and 11: * (P2,slip to the left needle, take yarn to back of
work, return both stitches to the right needle) 3 times, k6.*
Row 8, 10, and 12: Purl.
Repeat this pattern of 12 rows as required, changing pattern order on next
and every 6th row, to make a checkerboard pattern.
Moss Stitch for 1 inch, bind off in pattern. Finish cloth.
