Knit by Marianne in Denmark using size 7 (US) needles knitted in Drops Paris cotton, 2 strands.
Beach Comber Cloth and Back Scrubber

great for ombres- varigated yarns
Mon Tricot 900 stitch patterns - pebble stitch pg 89
x2 stitches

Supplies:
1 Skein Peaches & Creme™ knitting worsted in ombre
1 Pair size 7 (US) single and double point needles
Tapestry needle or crochet hook


B= Border 4 stitches at each end of cloth.

Cast on:
Backscrubber: 18 stitches
Small Cloth: 28 stitches
Large Cloth: 38 stitches

Knit 1" border then begin pattern.

Pattern:
Row 1: B4, Knit, B4.
Row 2: B4, Purl, B4.
Row 3: B4, k2tog across row, B4.
Row 4: B4, K1, pick up horizontal thread before next stitch, knit it*, B4.

Repeat these rows till a border distance away from desired length. Knit
border and bind off.

Back Scrubber:
Knit 14-19" of pattern, knit border. Bind off all but 3 stitches, slide stitches onto double point needles and knit I-cord for 9", sew to opposite side. Make another 9" I-cord and sew for handle at the cast on edge.
