size 7 or 8 needles.
Pattern is multiple of 7 + 2
Abbreviation: B = Border
Border top and bottom: 6 rows of knit or moss stitch
Border sides: 4 knit or moss stitches @ each end
Directions:
Cast on 38 stitches.
Row 1: B4, p2,* k5, p2, repeat from *, B4
Row 2: B4, k2,* p5, k2, repeat from *, B4
Row 3: B4, p2,* k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1, k1, psso, p2, repeat from *, B4
Row 4: B4, k2,* p5, k2, repeat from *, B4
Repeat these 4 rows until a border width away, knit border, and cast off.
Great for baby afghans -- thread ribbon thru eyelets.
For 40" afghan cast on 260 stitches which includes 10 stitches each end-
approx 2 inch border side.
For 48" afghan cast on 302 stitches which includes 16 stitches each end
approx 2.5 inch border side.
