Mon Tricot 1969 - Knitting Dictionary 990 Stitches Patterns
Vandyke Stitch V x 8+1
I used size 7 needles and ombre of pink, purple and white
Peaches &Creme™ cotton.

Border of Moss Stitch
B= Border 4 stitches following Moss Stitch
WRN= wool round needle
M1- make one by taking thread over or round needle.
Cast on: 41

Knit 8 rows of Moss Stitch for Border,begin pattern.

Pattern:
Row 1: B4, *k1, wrn to m1, sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, m1*, k1, B4.
Row 2: B4, Purl, B4.
Row 3: B4, *k2, m1, sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, m1, k1*, k1, B4.
Row 4: B4, Purl, 4.
Row 5: B4, *k3, m1, sl1, k2tog, psso, m1, k2*, k1, B4.

Repeat 8 rows of Moss Stitch, then pattern of 5 rows, ending with pattern one
border distance away from desired length, Knit border and bind off.

Why ultimate? It's got textural moss stitch stripes and vandyke open zig
zags... and if u want to use ombre- varigated the moss stitches look great in
those yarns!
