(www.woolhunter.com) Size 7 ( US) needles.
Zig Zag Lace Cloth & Back Scrubber

Supplies:
1 Skein Peaches & Creme™Knitting Worsted solid or ombre
1 Pair Size 7-9 (US) single point needles
1 Pair Size 7-9 (US) double point needles
Tapestry Needle or crochet hook
Scissors

Note: yarn in back , slip stitches as if to purl.
Border7 rows, garter or moss stitch
B= Border stitches at each end of the cloth.

Cast on:
Back Scrubber: 19 stitches
Small Cloth: 29 stitches
Large Cloth: 39 stitches

Pattern:
x10+1
Row 1: B4, Purl, B4
Row 2: B4, K1, * yo, sl1, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, yo, k1*, B4
Row 3: B4, Purl, B4
Row 4: B4, K2, * yo, sl1, k1, psso, k3, k2 tog yo, k3* end last repeat K2, B4
Row 5: B4, Purl, B4
Row 6: B4, k3, * yo, sl1, k1, psso, k1, k2 tog, yo, k5,* end last repeat with
k3, B4
Row 7: B4, Purl, B4
Row 8: B4, k4,* yo, sl1, k2,tog, pass the slip over the k2tog, yo, k7* end last
repeat with k4.

Knit to border distance from desired length. Knit border and cast off.

Back Scrubber:
Knit border for 1" then begin pattern. Knit pattern till piece measures 14-19", knit border.
Bind off all but 3 stitches. Slip stitches onto double point needles and knit I-cord for 9", bind
off stitches and sew to other side of the back scrubber for handle.
Knit a second I-cord 9" in length, sew to cast on edge of scrubber.


This pattern was taken from a sweater shown in the book,
McCalls™ needlework treasury 1964, I thought it was a
cute Easter sweater, not sure why zig zags remind me of Easter Eggs! but they
do. =o)
